FLSA Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Summary:

The NHMCLE Program Coordinator administers and supports NH Supreme Court Rule 53, the NHMCLE Board, and assists NH attorneys with NHMCLE compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates annual CLE compliance reporting process as part of the annual attorney license renewal process
  • Prepares NHMCLE messaging to membership in preparation for annual license renewal and reminders
  • Administers NHMCLE Attorney Reporting Tool (ART)
  • Assists NH attorneys with NHMCLE compliance
  • Collaborates with NHBA Database Coordinator and vendor partner, Legend Software, regarding updates and maintenance of the ART system
  • Collaborates with NHBA Registrar to assist NH attorneys with continuing legal education requirements as dictated by NH Supreme Court Rule 53
  • Communicates with NH Supreme Court clerks regarding request for information, member compliance and NH Bar Association member updates
  • Coordinates annual NHMCLE audits
  • Assists out-of-state bar members with Admission on Motion to the NH Bar Association (NHBA) per NH Supreme Court Rule 42 (section XI b and c)
  • Prepares and distributes new member communications and materials regarding NHMCLE rules and requirements
  • Prepares correspondence to be delivered via NHBA’s eBulletin, NHBar News, and social media to NH attorneys regarding NHMCLE
  • Represents NHMCLE at various NHBA events
  • Coordinates and prepares agenda and documentation for NHMCLE Board and committee meetings and produces timely meeting minutes after each meeting
  • Performs NHMCLE records filing (majority of documents are now electronic)
  • Covers the front desk during the Front Desk/Purchasing Coordinator’s lunch hour which includes general receptionist duties, answering and directing phone calls
  • Performs other work, including administrative support upon manager’s request

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

This position requires strong math abilities in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, membership database software (Associate), and NHMCLE Attorney Reporting Tool (ART).

Education/Experience:

Associates Degree in accounting, business, legal or other similar degree helpful; knowledge of New Hampshire attorney continuing legal education requirements and Supreme Court Rule 53 preferred.
